ChescoBus to start new schedule, Feb. 27

Effective Monday, February 27, 2017, ChescoBus will implement new service schedules for all three bus routes (SCCOOT, Coatesville Link and Evening Link).

ChescoBus is managed by the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC), a non-profit located in Malvern promoting alternative transportation options throughout Chester County.

These changes to the bus schedules are the result of an operations audit conducted by PennDOT and a service efficiency review by TMACC. The PennDOT audit concluded that they must continue to be fiscally responsible and manage ChescoBus services within directly-available State funding. These audits provided the opportunity to review the routes and services to maximize efficiencies and eliminate redundancies in the Link and Evening Link bus lines, and better align the bus schedules to the SEPTA 104 bus line and the Krapf “A” line.

ChescoBus has three routes throughout Chester County: SCCOOT, which travels from Oxford to Kennett Square, with limited service to West Chester; Coatesville Link, which travels from Coatesville to Parkesburg; and Evening Link, which operates evenings from Coatesville to Exton Square Mall. State funding for ChescoBus is provided by PennDOT and the majority of the local match from the Chester County Commissioners as well as municipal support.
