Chef-A-Topia now open at Market at Liberty Place

marketlibertyKENNETT SQUARE — The Market at Liberty Place in Kennett Square announced Wednesday that Chef-a-topia, a chef prepared meals merchant owned and operated by local chef Ray Maxwell is now open for business.

Located in the rear of The Market near Punk’d Pineapple, Chef-a-topia, “Gourmet on The Go” will feature chef prepared gourmet meals in ready to oven heat containers for consumers to eat at home. Sample menu items include lobster thermidor, turkey wellington, roasted chicken, pork tenderloin, filet mignon, crabcakes, and much more. Most of the meals are priced in the $6 – $14 per person range. Chef-a-topia offers gluten-free and vegetarian meals as well.

The meals are refrigerated and served in ready to heat, environmentally friendly containers. Patrons simply need to heat in their oven at home for approximately 15 minutes before serving.

“I’m very excited to open a new venture in my hometown of Kennett Square,” Maxwell said. “Bringing chef quality meals at reasonable prices while providing convenience to people on the go is very important to me! I’m also looking forward to collaborating with the other merchants in The Market at Liberty Place. I’ve been a fan since The Market opened last year.”

Maxwell’s background includes the Executive Chef at venues such as “Maxwell’s Creeds”, “Wyncote Golf & Country Club”, “The Stone Barn”, and “Fire Hill Pub.” Chef Maxwell will also be offering Saturday morning cooking demonstrations, every Saturday morning beginning at 10:30 in the rear center section of The Market.

Chef-a-topia is the eighth merchant located in The Liberty Place at Kennett Square. Located at 148 West State St in downtown Kennett, The Market at Liberty Place is an upscale farmers market with a mix of freshly prepared foods, grocery items, wine, and much more.
