Well-known in Chester County, Carousel Performing Arts Center has been working to build confidence in children and young adults through the arts for over ten years.  At a time when arts funding is one of the first line items to be cut in school districts, Carousel provides children with a positive outlet for creativity and self expression.  Carousel offers classes in dance, voice and acting during the school year as well as summer camps. Carousel also offers unique opportunities for children in the local community to participate in its musical theater productions.

As the Director of Carousel Performing Arts Center since 2005, Cathy Quigley has impacted the lives of hundreds of children and young adults by fostering not only their artistic abilities, but also their self-confidence and communication skills through the arts.  Cathy is also the critically acclaimed writer/choreographer/director of “Female Trouble,” an original production about women’s health issues performed at the Million Woman March, Philly Fringe Festival, colleges and universities.
